DRIVER/COURIER Job Description

The Desalination Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (Desalcott) maintains its position as the largest operating desalination facility in the western hemisphere. The plant produces and supplies potable water to the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA).

Desalcott is currently seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of DRIVER/COURIER. The location for this position will be Desalcott’s and HKL’s Administration Building – Frederick Settlement, Caroni.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling bank transactions, drafts, wire transfers, deposits etc.
• Making payments to BIR (Paye, VAT), NIS, Insurance Companies etc.
• Delivering of employee’s NIS claim forms.
• Purchasing and collection of materials/other from suppliers as requested by Purchasing and Administration.
• Collecting cell phones and handling transactions at TSTT on behalf of the company.
• Delivering mail to external parties : Lawyers, Auditors, Board of Inland Revenue and others as required.
• Delivering mail internally.
• Handling all mail at the Post Office.
• Record information related to documents/packages delivered and recipients’ acknowledgement of receipt.
• Maintain an excellent driving record and ensure that all incidents are reported in a timely manner.
• To assist in other areas as assigned by your Manager.
