Facilities Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
• Providing construction site management support as it pertains to commercial and industrial facilities management and preventative maintenance on all building systems, plant and equipment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB PURPOSE:
- To effectively lead the Plant Support Unit in identifying and implementing improvements that eliminate waste and increase customer satisfaction.
- To assist in the identification and proliferation of manufacturing best practices while supporting an operational excellence culture with emphasis on continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data collection and analysis of Plant Operations processes for budgeting and cost improvement.
- Must be able to design, evaluate and analyze plant metrics and performance for operational improvements
- Designing and implementing process improvement plans to streamline inefficient processes.
- Standardize processes to reduce process variation and optimize process performance.
- Must be able to incorporate problem-solving tools to support real time problem solving and process trouble shooting e.g. Six Sigma, 7 Step Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing, 5 Why, Value Stream Mapping.
- The ability to lead the Plant Support Unit in conducting root cause analysis.
- Create process documentation to determine metrics, manufacturing issues, materials flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, etc.
- Must be competent in conducting Root Cause Analysis techniques and determine practical and cost effective actions to prevent recurrences of major downtime, non-conformance or losses.
- Change management to ensure sustainable performance improvement.
- Responsible for generating and reporting on all projects on a monthly basis.
- Lead Standard Operating Practices documentation for Plant Operations and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
- Setup and Support the system to manage performance throughout the plant.
- Support the communications with the Officer and the Managers.
- Responsible for the management and support the coordination of all projects in the Plant Operations areas.
- Support the Coordination Plant Support Unit, other internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects on time and within budget.
- Drive team to complete projects to the highest level of quality and standard within time and budget.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure the best quality and standard of products and service.
- Liaise with the Head of Plant Operations to ensure all projects are scoped accurately.
- Ensure all plant metrics are accurately measured and reports provided to all parties requiring the information.
- Support team in removing all barriers to obtaining the correct data as needed.
- Analyze and trend the data collected and escalate all observations to the other managers with recommendations for improvements.
- Support Production Planning regarding cost management.
- Responsible for the presentation and facilitation of stock and production at meetings .
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Degree in Industrial or Process Engineering.
- A Master’s Degree in Production Engineering and Management will be considered an asset.
- Certification in Lean Management or Six Sigma Certificate or equivalent will be considered an asset.
- A minimum three (3) years of continuous relevant work experience as a Manager in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record in process improvement; leading projects with a record of successful implementation.
- Project Management experience
- Beverage industry experience is an asset.
