Rum Punch a traditional beverage

“Customers want to enjoy alcohol but don’t want the burn, Exquisite’s liquors were designed just with that in mind,” states CEO and founder Candice Hughes. Throughout the Caribbean and the diaspora, a Rum Punch is a known beverage due to our historical plantation economy. The planting of the sugarcane field and the making of Rum has been embedded in the very fibre of who we are as a Caribbean people.

Exquisite has taken this traditional beverage and complimented it with a range of local fruit flavours to represent the diversity of our races, ethnicities and cultures. This drink accompanies any event or lime or situates as the perfect gift for a friend or family abroad. Perfect for that backyard lime or a trip to the beach, this refreshing burst of colour and flavour brightens any day.

Tribute to Manzanilla Stretch

Exquisite Liquors is definitely here to stay and will be launching their newest creation soon. This cocktail will be a tribute to the Manzanilla Stretch in Eastern Trinidad, an area near and dear to Hughes who was born and raised in the rural town of Sangre Grande. “Manzanilla was our beach, and that stretch of coconut trees are iconic, I want all my creations to represent who we are as a people so stay tuned”. She also hints of a line of jams that is in the making following the success of the Sorrel Jam during their Christmas in July celebration.
