Job Title: HEAD, EMPLOYEE & INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS Application Deadline: 14th October 2019 HR Contact: DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES The Authority is seeking an individual with extensive experience in the field of industrial relations to lead the Industrial Relations function within the Human Resources Division. The successful candidate will be required to introduce appropriate Employee Relations strategies, policies, plans and programmes to improve the industrial relations climate and maintain a peaceful and productive working environment in support of a High Performance Organization.
The incumbent will be required to continuously assess the internal and external environment, identify potential Human Resources issues which may disrupt the continuity of business operations, develop mitigation strategies to prevent and/or resolve issues that can impact on a peaceful industrial relations climate within the Authority.
The Head, Employee & Industrial Relations will also be required to develop and implement strategies and plans for the successful engagement of the relevant bargaining units, continuously promote and engage in social dialogue, advise on the resolution of employees’ grievances, trade disputes and disciplinary matters, as well as represent the Authority at the relevant courts, engages in peaceful negotiations and complete the collective bargaining process in a timely and cost effective manner.
The successful candidate must also have experience working in a fast–paced, unionized environment, be able to influence others and respond to frequent changes in the industrial relations climate.

An attractive and competitive remuneration package will be provided.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Masters in Labour Studies/Labour Law. Maters in Human Resources Management or in a related field and/or relevant discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten (10) years senior managerial experience, eight (8) of which should have been in an industrial Relations environment.
- At least five (5) years in a Unionized environment.
