SUPERVISOR  PURCHASING  VACANCY

TO SUPERVISE AND ASSIST IN THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT

SUPERVISOR  PURCHASING  VACANCY, KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Oversees the daily operations of the Purchasing Assistants including administrative supervision
Ensures and monitors department KPI’s
Supervises work assignments of Purchasing Assistants to ensure compliance with Company procedures
Develops and maintains respective logs such as but not limited to Orders and Claims
Maintains and establishes proper filing systems for Purchasing and ensures that Assistants maintain same
Ensures that the Shipping Team has the required documents needed to clear shipments by overseeing Purchasing Assistants adherence to Company/Customs requirements
Oversees and/or Handles queries related to shipments received at all AAL warehouses
Carries out the general functions of a Buyer
Prepares Purchase orders in accord with Company procedures
Prepares reports for Department Manager upon request and/or according to schedule
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Department Manager / Directors
EDUCATION

5 GCE / CXC passes including Mathematics and English
Pursuing CIPS (or equivalent) qualification

SUPERVISOR  PURCHASING  VACANCY, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least five years experience in a Purchasing environment
At least two years experience in a Supervisory Position
Excellent Supervisory, Communication, Interpersonal and Decision-making Skills
Ability to interact professionally with Suppliers, Brokers, Shipping Companies and High-Level Management
Must be a Team-Player
Must possess a High level of Accuracy and Organization Skills
Must be Computer Literate
Must be familiar with Purchasing Processes
Must be familiar with Customs Clearance Processes
