DESCRIPTION
To verify the quantity of products (per item) prior to, during and after loading for distribution to local and export markets. To assist with payroll information.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor the attendance, punctuality, leave applications and entitlements/fringes of weekly and monthly paid employees
- Update Master Cards for all weekly paid employees on a daily basis
- Maintain records for all Casual employees, inclusive of the cumulative number of days worked in order to determine eligibility for casual fringes
- Tally expiry dates for goods issued to Local Sales Vans on a daily basis
- Liaise with Production Supervisors regarding weekly paid employee separations in order to prepare updates for the HR Department on a weekly basis
- Assist with the preparation of pay slips on a weekly basis
- Answer the telephone, transfer calls and take messages as required
- Operate office equipment, such as fax machines and copiers, and arrange for required continuous maintenance or repairs when equipment malfunctions
- Perform any related duties as assigned by the Technical Services Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
- At least five (5) CSEC / CXC ‘O’Levels including English and Mathematics
- A Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration / Accounting would be an asset
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an administrative position
- Knowledge of Payroll data processing would be an asset
- Computer Literate
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Sound interpersonal skills

DESCRIPTION
This position is for ensuring that manufacturing equipment is running efficiently at target line rates while minimizing downtime and line reject. Assists with creating and monitoring, preventive and predictive maintenance system.
Responsibilities
- Follows all safety guidelines in the department including proper use of PPE and lockout procedures
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of operating all packaging lines including starting, stopping, loading boxes, and changing film rolls
- Performs all necessary quality checks of the products produced in the Packaging department including HACCP checks, seal tests, weight tests, code dating, metal detector, check-weigher, in-line magnets and code dater checks. Maintains all written documentation for these checks.
- Maintains equipment and process records as required.
- Conduct sanitation tasks according to master sanitation schedule (MSS) and as part of daily operations.
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, analyzing equipment and operational issues, providing corrective actions to solve issues.
- Assists with activities as required and assist other maintenance team members as needed.
- Write, enter and update work orders.
- Interface with the Maintenance Stores Department for inventory
- Collaborate and interface with the maintenance planner on development of work order schedule to ensure the maximum utilization of time and resources
- Maintains the processing-related areas in an organized and sanitary manner within FDA GMP guidelines; performs routine cleaning activities of all processing areas.
- Performs product changeover cleanout procedures to ensure correct product quality when changing from one product to another; may include entering equipment to ensure the correct level of cleaning.
- Performs other tasks and assists other functional areas of the department as needed and required. Physical activities may include sweeping, shoveling, climbing ladders and stairs, reaching/pulling, scooping, maneuvering rolls of packaging film, etc…
- The profile requires strong technical knowledge with extensive knowledge of repairing and maintenance of equipment malfunctions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum EEET or MEEET Diploma
- 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends
- Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical or electrical capability/experience
