      Commissioning Manager

      The Role:
      Our client is one of the largest international Oil & Gas companies in the world with operations covering the entire energy chain.

      They are currently recruiting for the position of Commissioning Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendents, based offshore Trinidad & Tobago.

      Job Description

      Develop a strategy in order to maximize pre-com/com and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
      Contribute to the smooth handover to operations. Target date reached with the required work quality
      Validate electrical and instrument check sheets and functional test sheets.
      Oversee E&I equipment suppliers’ and vendors’ personnel.
      Review and validate vendor E&I reports.
      Consolidate E&I pre-commissioning and commissioning progress.
      Perform follow-up of E&I punch lists and be proactive in the punch list clearance process.
      Handle the follow-up of required E&I tools, consumables and spare parts.
      Validate any technical change or modification for E&I equipment.
      Ensure proper preservation of E&I equipment.
      Co-ordinate with other entities/existing facilities. Measure : Quality of information and communication
      Supervise the execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities related to E&I disciplines for the project (with regard to procedures, quality, HSE, cost and schedule optimization) to the full satisfaction of Operations.
      Prepare and follow up progress reports for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
      Ensure that contractors are aware of and comply with HSE rules and regulations.
      Ensure all the pre-commissioning and commissioning for E&I activities are executed in an efficient way and in line with the Project Schedule and according to the company E&P OPERCOM methodology

      Skills & Experience

      Previous experience in a similar position (E&I CMM Superintendent) is required.
      Good knowledge of O&G industry standards, good & safe practices.
      Fluency in English (speaking and writing) and experience in large multinational, multicultural environment.
      Proven skills in coordination & interface management/communication/work organisation.
      Instrument engineer with experience of commissioning.

      This is a contract position.

      The rate for this position is negotiable.

      • Proofreads and performs routine editorial functions, including formatting and stylesheet verification, copy editing, and some production planning. Ensures that all assigned documents comply with their required presentation, correct use of paragraph headings and numbering, referencing of illustrative and tabular matter, and applicable bibliographic styles. Ensures consistency in application of technical abbreviations and acronyms, figure and table callouts and captions, and handling of boilerplate materials
      • Compiles and verifies tables of contents, lists of figures and tables, references, and printer’s dummy. Marks copy to provide word processors and illustrators with clear, legible instructions relating to spacing, indentation, and changes or corrections
      • Works directly with authors/requestors to review copy, illustrations, and other materials submitted for inclusion in assigned documents. Recommends improvements for accuracy of expression, project or Company style, clarity, consistency, and grammatical construction. May recast text subject to review by the author/requestor

      • At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years supervisory.
      • Experience in the oil & gas industry.
      • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • A natural leader who can make quick and difficult decisions, often under pressure, and who can command respect
      • A team player who can resolve problems within his teams, to deliver the best performance from individuals, by ensuring everyone is given the work and position where they can give of their best
      • Considerable experience in a project controls role
      • Experience in project controls functions of Cost, Estimating, Planning and the management thereof
      • Exposure to / experience of the procurement process and an understanding of its relationship with the project controls functions
      • Skilled in the supervision of project control personnel
      • High degree of Computer Literacy
      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
